Seeking Clarity about the Child's Problem

In the treatment process, I make contact with patients’ pediatricians to ensure that physical health issues such as vitamin deficiencies, sleep disorders, or genetic abnormalities have been ruled out as the cause for psychological concerns. It is my experience that communication between health service providers can make an enormous difference in the treatment outcomes for children. In addition to looking into medical causes for childhood problems, my work with parents and schools often uncover and address environmental causes of a child’s symptoms or psychological issues. Sometimes small shifts in the environment can change a child’s perspective and experience, ultimately fueling a fantastic transformation.
